Cempedak

I can say I have a very interesting working place, blessed so much with fruit of all kinds. Yesterday, almost everyone enjoyed the Nangka.

This morning, I found another type of fruit called Cempedak. Smaller then the Nangka with stronger smell. The taste of the fruit is similar to the related Jackfruit. A sweet, mild, and juicy pulp surrounds the peanut-like seeds in a thick layer between the husk and an inedible core.

The outer husk of the fruit is slightly sticky that makes the cutting through a hasle job.

Cempedak are usually hung by the stem as they become fragile when ripe. In order to take the juicy pulp from the inside, like Nangka, cempedak too they need to be cut open.
